Automated Manual Transmission

Clutch Bleeding:

Clutch bleeding procedure:

The guidelines of the procedure are illustrat-

ed below:

When?

For filling after draining for KIT repairs.

After KIT repairs following replacement of

hydraulic parts (valves, pump, pressure

sensor, delivery pipe)

General KIT operation

Why?

The routine is designed to eliminate the

possible presence of air in the hydraulic

circuit following the replacement of one of

the above mentioned components carrying

out 15 clutch opening/closing cycles with

the oil pump activated.

What tools are needed?

Diagnosis equipment

NOTES:

The procedure takes approximately 1 minute.

Power latch takes approximately 15 seconds.

To verify the implementation of the proce-

dure it is possible to hear the operating of

the clutch solenoid valve and the activation

of the power unit pump.

The procedure is performed under the fol-

lowing conditions:

Engine off

Brake pressed

Ignition ON

Clutch position sensor ok

Clutch actuator ok

The procedure will end without indicating an

error code if any one of the conditions listed

above does not occur.

Hydraulic circuit depressurization:

The guidelines of the procedure are illustrat-

ed below:

When?

Before the hydraulic components replace-

ment KIT repair (valves, pressure sensor,

supply pipe, etc.).

Why?

The routine is designed to drain the hy-

draulic circuit sending it to the kit fluid

reservoir to allow the replacement of the

above components, carrying out 26 clutch

opening/closing cycles with the oil pump

deactivated.

Oil level check.

What tools are needed?

Diagnosis equipment.

NOTES:

The procedure takes approximately 1 minute.

Power latch takes approximately 15 seconds.

To verify the implementation of the proce-

dure it is possible to hear the operating the

clutch solenoid valve.

Check (read RDI 1C06) that the pressure in

the hydraulic circuit is under the accumulator

pre- charge threshold (approx. 2-3 bar).

The procedure must be carried out in the fol-

lowing conditions:

Engine off

Brake pressed

Ignition ON

Clutch position sensor ok

Clutch actuator ok

The procedure will end with self-calibration

KO if any one of the conditions listed above

does not occur.
