REAR SUSPENSION

V. PAN HARD ROD REMOVAL

1. Apply hand brake.

2. Loosen and remove the bolts & nuts

connecting pan hard rod to the bracket on rear

axle and bracket on chassis frame.

3. Tap the pan hard rod gently and take out the

assembly.

INSPECTION

1. Check the condition of rubber bushes. If

required replace the bushes with new one.

NOTE

For replacement of bushes refer the procedure of

bush removal and fitment in overhauling section.

2. Check the condition of lower link for any bend

and damage. If required replace the same with

new one.

REFITMENT

For refitment follow the reverse procedure of

removal. Apply the specified torque as per the

procedure given in

“Rear suspension links

tightening procedure”

.

VI. REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL

1. Hoist the vehicle on two post lift.

2. Support the rear axle from below at both ends.

3. Disconnect the LH side upper link from the

rear axle bracket by removing the mounting

bolt to avoid any damage to the fuel tank

assembly.

4. Loosen and remove the lower mounting nut of

the rear shock absorber.

5. Loosen and remove two mounting bolts from

the top.
