15.2 MAINTENANCE

A. ON VEHICLE REPAIRS

NOTE

All suspension links, anti-roll bar, shock absorber

mountings to be full tightened in vehicle ECIE

condition.(2 persons in front seat, two persons in

rear middle seat)

I. ANTIROLL BAR

REMOVAL

1. Hoist the vehicle on two post lift & remove the

wheels.

2. Remove the wheel speed sensor wiring from

the antiroll bar clamp from both ends.

3. Disconnect the antiroll bar from the ball joint

assembly by loosening the nyloc nut. Follow

the same procedure at the other end also.

CAUTION

Make sure that before loosening the nyloc nut one

should use Allen key (5mm) to hold the ARB link

ball stud otherwise it may damage the ball joint.

4. Loosen and remove two mounting screws of

bearing block bracket. Follow the same

procedure at other end also.

5. Remove the anti-roll bar assembly.

6. Remove the ball joint assembly from the

bracket on the rear axle by removing the

bottom nyloc nut. Follow the same for other

end also.

INSPECTION

1. Check the condition of anti-roll bar for any

bend. If required replace the same with new

one.

2. Check the condition of rubber bush and ball

joint if found damaged replace with new one.

3. Check for grease in the mounting bearing

block.

ASSEMBLY

1. Locate the bushes and place the ball joint

assembly on the bracket and tighten the nyloc

nut. Follow the same procedure for other end

also.

NOTE

Tighten the nyloc nut such that the gap between

the edge of link and the nyloc nut is 10± 2mm as

show in the figure above
