31. Loosen the two crossbar nuts by using a H18
wrench.
NOTE:
Not remove the crossbar screws.
32. Support the transmission using transmission
support jack and secure it with the safety
chains.
33. Remove the 6 crossbar screws and remove
the crossbar.
34. Loosen the 8 No’s converter housing screws
using a H14 wrench.
35. Carefully lower the transmission from the
vehicle. Do not touch the flex plate.
WARNING
:
Damage to the flex plate could involve in
malfunction of engine and or transmission.
Ensure clearance is maintained between the
transmission and the following:
-Vehicle wiring harness.
-Vehicle to transmission cooler pipes.
36. Tilt slightly the transmission 4° to 4.5°
inclination angle converter housing keep
upside.
