NOTICE:
Inspect the fluid color. The fluid should be red or
dark brown.
Fluid that is very dark or black and has a burnt
odor usually indicates contamination or
overheating.
10. Replace the trans oil level plug and tighten to
25 Nm.
11. Inspect for external leaks. See Oil Leakage
Location.
12. Install the transmission protection.
13. Slowly lower the vehicle.
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Notice:
Electrical components which are particularly
sensitive to electrostatic discharge (electronic
control units, sensors, etc.) are identified with the
ESD warning symbol in the repair procedure.
E - Electro
S - Static
D - Discharge
Statically charged persons can discharge
themselves when they touch electrical
components.
When electronic components are being
exchanged, particular attention must be paid to
electrostatic discharge (ESD). If safety regulations
are disregarded, other electronic components in
the vehicle could also be damaged.
To avoid damaging or destroying electrical
components as a result of electrostatic discharge,
it is absolutely essential to observe the following
Instructions:
When replacing electrical components, leave the
replacement components in their original
packaging until immediately before they are to be
installed. Do not touch pins and multi-pin
connectors directly!
Touch electrical components by their housings
only.
If necessary, always return a removed component
in its original packaging (always pack the
component away immediately).
Personal protective equipment:
Antistatic shoes, ESD Gloves According Legal
