PINOUT DETAILS
PIN NO DESCRIPTION
1
Solar sensor Input to control panel
2
Analog gnd
REMOVAL
1. Pry out the front defrost grill.
2. Disconnect the electrical connection of solar load
sensor.
3. Rotate the solar load sensor to unlock its snap
from adaptor.
4. Take out the sensor.
INSPECTION
1. Park the vehicle in a shaded area.
2. Connect the diagnostic tool and monitor the so-
lar load input,
in the read ECU parameters
section of the tool.
3. Drive the vehicle out to another area. The Solar
load value should change as per the varying so-
lar load conditions.
4. Alternatively switch on the ignition and check the
voltage across pin no. J1-6 & J2-1of control
panel it should be in the voltage range from 0.5V
to 5V. This measurement is to be done when the
sensor is connected to control panel.
5. If the voltage is continuously less than 0.3 V then
there is a short to ground in the circuit.
6. If the voltage is continuously above 5V, then
there is a short to battery in the circuit.
7. If there is no change in the value even after driv-
ing from shaded area to bright sunshine and
back. Then the sensor is faulty and has to be re-
placed.
INSTALLATION
1. Fit the solar load sensor into its adaptor.
2. Connect the electrical connection.
3. Fit the front defrost grill. (
Snap Fitted
).
E. INCAR TEMPERATURE SENSOR WITH IN-
TEGRATED ASPIRATOR
FUNCTION:
Incar sensor is a sensor that measures the average
passenger cabin ambient temperature. It is NTC
(
negative temperature coefficient)
type temperature
sensor means its resistance decreases as the tem-
perature increases and vice versa. The sensor shall
be capable of sensing a temperature range of – 40°C
to 85°C with a resolution of 0.5°C
LOCATION:
It is fitted on instrument cluster cover.
