VI. Air

Conditioner

Compressor

and

Alternator Belt Replacement :

The belt used in this vehicle is multi ribbed

belt. This belt is pre-tensioned over Air

conditioner compressor and crank shaft pulley

and therefore do not require the tensioner as

this is capable of efficient power transmission.

CAUTION



The belt is not interchangeable and should

not be interchanged with normal multi-

ribbed belts.



Removal :

1. Rotate the tensioner point by using ring

spanner opposite to belt tension and remove

the belt.



Installation :

1. Install the new belt on AC Compressor

alternator and then on water pump pulley.

2.

Rotate the tensioner point by using ring

spanner opposite to belt tension and install the

belt w

ith the help of clevis meter measure the

proper belt tension.

CAUTION



Ensure that the tool is correctly located

during the belt fitment process. Make sure

that while rotating the crank shaft pulley the

belt should not slip away from AC

Compressor pulley.
