2. INTERIOR LIGHTS

Interior lights fulfill the requirements for illuminating the interior as brightly and shadow-free as possible.

Interior lighting deals with the lighting features available inside a vehicle.

2.1 ROOF LAMP (WITH DIMMING)

2.1.1 Description

Roof lamp provides interior illumination. Roof lamp include front lamp for the vehicle segments in which the

Base and Mid BCMs will be fitted in. Roof lamp switch is a three-way switch using which the control of the

Roof lamps can be selected. The three positions include ON, OFF and Automatic (Door).

Roof lamps can be controlled: 1. Manually 2. Automatic

In automatic, the lamp activation shall take place after sensing the input information such as door switches

and RF input from the remote. When the switch position is in DOOR/AUTO the lamp shall be switched

ON/OFF automatically as per the functional requirements mentioned in the below sections.

In manual, the switch position is either in the ON or OFF position of the Roof Lamp switch and the light will

be switched ON or OFF with the manual interaction.

2.1.2 Conditional Requirements

Activation –

• In Auto

•Door is opened or

•RKE Unlock is pressed or

•After ignition Key is taken OUT

• In Manual

• Roof Lamp switch is ON

Deactivation –

• In Auto

• Preconfigured time is over or

• IGN is ON or

• RKE Lock is pressed or

• Battery Saver Timer elapsed

• In Manual

• Roof switch Lamp is OFF

• Battery Saver Timer elapsed

On Fault –

BCM logs respective DTC. Open load detection is not possible.

2.1.3 Operating Voltage Range
