7. Remove the spring band clamp

and discon-

nect the hose

(1)

connecting EGR coolant outlet

to the coolant return line.

8. Loosen and remove the hex flange bolts

(2)

to

disconnect the EGR pipe

(1)

from EGR cooler.

9. Loosen and remove the hex flange bolts to dis-

connect the EGR cooler module

(1)

mounted on

the intake manifold.

FITMENT

For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal.

NOTE

Use new gasket every time and tighten bolts to spec-

ified torque.

17. EGR COOLER BYPASS VALVE (VACUUM

SOLENOID VALVE):

The EGR Cooler Bypass valve is an electro pneu-

matic solenoid switch, which is controlled precisely

by the EMS ECU based on the Engine speed, Cool-

ant Temperature and Accelerator pedal position etc.

Vacuum solenoid valve provides variable vacuum

levels to drive EGR.

LOCATION

REMOVAL

1. Remove engine cover.

2. Disconnect all the hose connections & electrical

connection from the Vacuum solenoid valve.

3. Remove the mounting bolts of vacuum solenoid

valve & take out the vacuum solenoid valve from

its location.

REFITMENT

1. Fit the Vacuum solenoid valve on the mounting

bracket.

2. Tighten its two mounting bolts.
