pressure - Too

High.

H

1. Engine may not start

2. Combustion noise may be different.

3. Engine will stop (if already running) upon

detecting this DTC.

This DTC gets logged if rail

pressure value exceeds

Higher threshold value.

1. Check for IMV related

faults (P0251)

2. Check For HP sensor

faults (P0192; P0193)

3. Check HP circuit.

4. Check LP circuit.

5. Check Injector (check

harness continuity; connector

oxidation etc.)

6. Check ECU.

1. Check adequate fuel is available in the tank.

2. Check there is no air entry in to the low pressure

fuel line.

3. Ensure fuel filter is not clogged.

4. Ensure there is no leakage in the high pressure

fuel line.

5. Check & ensure connector for proper fitment

6. Check for IMV related faults (P0251; P0253;

P0255) and if found refer rectification process for

IMV fault.

7. Check for Rail pressure (HP) sensor faults

(P0192; P0193) and if present uses the rectification

process of P0192; P0193 fault.

8. Check the Injectors; ensure RVD is happening.

9. Check ECU pins and connector pins for damage;

Replace if found defective.

10. Check HP circuit; refer HP circuit check and

rectification procedure.

11. Check LP circuit; refer LP circuit check and

rectification procedure.

12. Check & Rectify the connector / Injector

Harness continuity; connector oxidation etc.

13.After rectification ensures the following before

handing over to customer.

a) Rail pressure at ignition key on is < 10 bar;

b) By removing the rail pressure sensor

connector shows rail pressure value of 800

bar;

c) High pressure leak detection test can be

carried out.

d) Please drive the vehicle on road; check and

ensure rail pressure feed-back follows the

demand continuously.
