pressure - Too

low.

H

1. Engine may not start.

2. EGR does not function.

This DTC gets logged if no

rise in rail pressure is

detected even after 6

seconds of cranking.

1. Check connector for

proper fitment; damage etc.

2. Check sensor for oxidation

rust etc.

3. Check harness for

damages; check electrical

continuity.

4. Check ECU.

1. Check adequate fuel level is available in the tank.

2. Check high pressure fuel lines for leakage

3. Check fuel filter is not clogged.

4. Check low pressure fuel lines for air entry

5. Check & ensure connector for proper fitment

6. Check sensor for oxidation; rust etc. if observed

clean deposit.

7. Check harness for damages; Replace / Repair if

harness is damaged.

8. Check wiring harness electrical continuity

between ECU pins 77, 40 & 58 & Rail pressure

sensor connector pins. Check whether any of the

EMS ecu pins 77, 40 & 58 are either short circuited

to ground or battery.

9. Check whether the IMV control pin of EMS 11 is

open circuited or short circuited to ground/battery

because of wrong wiring harness connections. If so

rectify the wrong connections to make the

connections inline with circuit schematics.

10. Check IMV internal resistance whether it is

according to the design specifications (xx ohms at

20

0

C). Replace IMV if the resistance is not

according to specifications.

11. Check ECU pins and connector pins for

damage; Replace if found defective.

12. Please check if any injector back leak is

abnormally high compared to the other injectors.

13. Conduct pump test to see pump is delivering

pressure

14.After rectification ensure the following before

handing over to customer.

a) Rail pressure at ignition key on is < 10 bar;

b) By removing the rail pressure sensor

connector shows rail pressure value of 800

bar.

c) High pressure leak detection test can be

carried out.

d) Please drive the vehicle on road; check and

ensure rail pressure feed-back follows the

demand continuously.
