8) Remove Rear Shock Absorber top mounting

inside
luggage
compartment.
9) Remove Rear Shock Absorber.
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL ON
BENCH
1. Remove the rubber pad and metal washer as
shown.
2. Remove assembly of dust cover & top cap.
3. Remove the bump stopper from the shock
absorber as shown.
4. Check for any oil leakage or bottom bush
damage in the shock absorber, if any replace
the unit.

Check bump stop for cracks and replace if any.
•
Check top rubber for cracks.
•
Check dust cover for damage and replace it if
any.
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY ON
BENCH
1. Refit the bump stop over the shock absorber.
2. Place assembly of dust cover and top cap over
damper. Ensure proper locking of top cap in
dust cover groove.
3. Place cup over the top cap.
4. Position the rubber pad over the assembled
Unit.
5. Insert this assembled unit inside hole of BIW.
6. Put top rubber pad (with sleeve) from luggage
compartment side.
