1.5L REVOTORQ ENGINE

4. Turn on the air supply and Press the knob,

allow the vacuum level to reach approximately

20-25 in Hg (50-60 cm Hg) and release the

knob (The gauge reading may be slightly less

in higher elevations but a proper vacuum

should still be reached within 3 minutes). Let

the system hold for 20 seconds to observe for

a drop in vacuum.

CAUTION

A drop in the gauge reading within 20

seconds indicates a vacuum leak in the

system, which will require locating and

rectifying the leakage before proceeding

further.

NOTE

During this procedure the radiator hoses will

collapse under the vacuum being generated

- this is normal.

5. Once the gauge has reached the desired

vacuum level and there is no drop in gauge

reading, turn the refill valve (red lever) on and

the coolant will start to fill the cooling system.

A system without a vacuum leak will fill in

about 3 to 4 minutes.

CAUTION

If the refill tube end comes out of the coolant

during the refill process, air will be pulled

into the system and the entire procedure will

need to be repeated. Kindly ensure to

maintain sufficient amount of coolant in the

container to avoid this issue.

6. Once the vacuum gauge reaches “0”, turn

refill valve off (red lever), check the amount of

coolant was added to system, if necessary

top-up the coolant to the specified level and

refit the pressure cap.

7. Start the engine and run until normal

operating temperature is reached. Allow to

cool and top-up coolant if necessary.

NOTE

If the amount of coolant specified for the

vehicle was not added to the system, repeat

the procedure from step 1.
