ABS Unit Replacement in the field:
Step - 1
Turn off the ignition of the vehicle.
Step - 2
Remove the 38 pin ABS ECU connector. (Plz refer guideline how to lock unlock
ABS 38 pin connector)
Step - 3
The ABS Unit has 6 brake pipe connections (M/C 1, M/C2, FL, FR, RL, and RR).
Remove the brake pipe connections from the ABS Unit.
Step - 4
Seal the ports with rubber plugs or plastic caps.
Step - 5
Unscrew the 2 rubber dampers.
Step - 6
Pull the Hydraulic unit out of the bracket.
Step - 7
Check if the center pin grommet is damaged. If yes please replace the rubber
grommet
Step - 8
Take the new Hydraulic unit and assemble in order (Left side damper, Center pin
grommet, Right side damper) in the bracket.
Step - 9
Tighten the rubber dampers with torque of 8+/- 2 Nm.
Step - 10
Remove the plastic caps on the hydraulic unit.
Step - 11
Assemble the brake pipes (M/C1, M/C2, FL, FR, RL and RR) as per the markings
engraved on the ABS Hydraulic unit. The tightening torque should be as per offer
drawing. Please ensure correct brake pipes are connected to the correct wheel
ports on the unit.
Step - 12
Now connect back the 38 pin ECU Connector to the newly fitted ABS unit (make
sure that ABS 38 pin connector locked properly)
