B1644–05:- Partial or No UID Pairing Done – System programming Failures

Customer Symptom

NA

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

1. Passive entry will not work with all paired UIDs And

2. Passive start will not work with all paired UIDs And

3. On pressing the start-stop switch, “NoKeyDetectionTelltale”

is present in instrument cluster even if UID is present (whose

pairing is not successful) inside the vehicle And

4. Passive entry & passive start will work fine with one UID but

not with all other UIDs.

Lamp Status (If Any)

NA

Fault Detection Condition

This DTC will get logged during PEPS-UID pairing as well as

IGN ON. If pairing is started but only one UID gets paired out

of 2 UIDs, then PEPS logs this DTC.

OR

At IGN ON PEPS checks whether any UID is paired with PEPS

or not. If no single UID is paired with PEPS, then PEPS logs

this DTC.

Normal Operating Condition

1. Passive start is working fine with all paired UIDs And

2. Passive entry is working fine with all paired UIDs And

3. On pressing the start-stop switch, No

“NoKeyDetectionTelltale” is present in instrument cluster with

UID is present inside the vehicle.

Probable Trouble Area

1. UID (Smart Key) And

2. Central Console LF Antenna. (Immo antenna) And

3. PEPS ECU

Healing Condition

Ignition Transition:- IGN OFF

IGN ON.

On IGN ON during UID authentication no DTC is logged by

PEPS.

Component Details:-

1. UID (Smart Key)

2. PEPS ECU

3. Central Console Antenna (Immo Antenna)

Preliminary Checks:-

1.

Check the battery voltage. It should be 9V and above.

2.

Check respective ECU pins for oxidation, bending, & damage.

3.

UID shall be inside and up to 7cm around the Front / Center console antenna.
