B1639–31:- Vehicle Immobilizer Control Module – No Signal

Overview:-

B1639-31

Customer Symptom

1. On cranking the vehicle Engine is not starting And

2. Immo telltale on instrument cluster stays ON after IGN ON.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

1. On cranking the vehicle Engine will not start And

2. Immo telltale on instrument cluster will stays ON after IGN

ON.

Lamp Status (If Any)

Immo telltale lamp on instrument cluster will stays ON

continuously after IGN ON.

Fault Detection Condition

On IGN ON EMS sends key authentication request to PEPS, if

no key authentication request is received, PEPS logs this DTC.

Normal Operating Condition

1. On cranking the vehicle engine shall start seamlessly And

2. After IGN ON Immo telltale on instrument cluster shall stays

OFF.

Probable Trouble Area

1. CAN connections between PEPS & EMS And

2. Battery voltage

Healing Condition

Ignition Transition:- IGN OFF



IGN ON.

On IGN ON after EMS key authentication request no DTC is

logged by PEPS.
