U1019 – 62: Passive Start Power mode– Signal Compare Failure

Fault Detection Condition

This fault gets logged by BCM When Mismatch between

the CAN input signal (PEPSPowerModState) status

received from the PEPS ECU and the hardware input

pins (IgnKeyStateACC, IgnKeyStateIGN,

IgnKeyStateCRANK) status of BCM.

Normal Operating Condition

If the Passive Start Stop switch is pressed then BCM

power mode changes as per user input.

Probable Trouble Area

1. BCM connector Fault

2. Hardware input pins (IgnKeyStateACC,

IgnKeyStateIGN, IgnKeyStateCRANK) status of

BCM short to ground.

3. Passive start stop switch damaged or stuck.

4. BCM ECU fault

Healing Condition

1. Ignition OFF ON

2. Clear DTC Command

Component Details:

Passive start stop switch is used to change the power mode of vehicle. If Passive Start Stop switch is

pressed then vehicle power mode changes with respect to its previous power mode.

Preliminary Checks:

3. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above)

4. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
