U100E - 23: Crank Power mode Input – switch stuck low

Customer Symptom

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Lamp Status (If Any)

NA

Fault Detection Condition

This fault will be logged after the input switch test

routine execution. User has to operate the switch

manually during routine. If short to ground fault is

detected for ignition power mode input switch then this

DTC code will be returned with the Routine results.

Normal Operating Condition

There should not be any fault returned by routine.

Probable Trouble Area

1. switch stuck

2. switch damaged

Healing Condition

1. Ignition OFF

ON

2. Clear DTC Command

Component Details:

Crank Power mode Input switch is part of Ignition switch and interfaced to the BCM. If the Crank Power mode

Input switch is activated and engine will run successfully. If user put the ignition switch to Crank power mode

input position, and engine will run successfully.

Crank Power mode Input switch is active high.

Preliminary Checks:

1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)

2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
