Component Details:
Daylight Running lamps (DRL) are located at right front side of vehicle. DRL turn ON when Ignition is
ON / vehicle is running and both Headlamp and position lamps are OFF.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage
Trouble Shooting:-
1. Disconnect Vehicle battery.
2. Check continuity between A) right DRL output wire (c4-39) and ground. B) Between BCM pin (c4-39)
and BCM ground (c3-34). C) check for short within BCM. If found , rectify fault
3. Remove Right DRL and check continuity between BCM pin (c4-39) and BCM ground (c1-34). If
continuity found, correct BCM side wiring harness.
4. Check BCM and right daylight running lamp connectors for terminal back out. If connected loosely,
reconnect firmly and check.
5. Remove BCM side connector and perform visual check of connectors for pin bent or damage etc. If
found faulty, correct fault.
6. Remove DRL side mating connector and perform visual check of connector for pin bent or damaged
etc. If found faulty, correct fault.
7. Check the continuity between two terminals of DRL, if continuity found (i.e. lamp faulty), replace lamp.
8. If fault is not found, then replace ECU
