B2229 – 15: Left Turn Indicator Lamp circuit –Short To Battery /
Open
START
Connect Diagnostic tool and check for DTCs
Is DTC B2229-15
present?
STOP
NO
Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic
Is History?
1. Clear the DTC from memory
2. Turn the IGN to OFF
3. Start the IGN
Is DTC B2229-15
present?
YES
NO

NO
Disconnect vehicle battery connection.
(Please follow the safety guidelines)
Check BCM and left Turn Indicator lamp
connectors for terminal backout
Are connectors
loose?
Reconnect connectors firmly
YES
1.Remove BCM side wiring harness Connector.
2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent
or damaged etc.
