Removal Procedure of steering column has
been defined in three processes:
A. Top Column (Upper Column)
B. Intermediate Shaft (Bottom Column)
A. Top Column (Upper Column) :
1. Disconnect the top column from the
intermediate shaft by removing the bolt along
with the spring washer.
2. Remove Steering Wheel. (For procedure refer
steering wheel removal process)
3. Remove master light switch from the upper
RH cover. (For procedure, refer electrical
section.)
4. Take out the upper nacelle, lower nacelle, LH
side upper cover, RH side upper cover and
lower cover of steering column. (For
procedure refer body section.)
5. Remove the Combi-Switch and ignition
switch. (For procedure, refer electrical
section.)
6. Loosen and remove four mounting nuts of top
column assembly.
7. Disconnect the brake pedal return spring from
the steering column.
8. Take out the top column.
REFITMENT:
For assembly follow reverse procedure of
removal.
