C. TRANSMISSION CONTROL UNIT (TCU)

REMOVAL AND RE-FITMENT:

Transmission Control Unit Overview:

PRECAUTIONS:

The pins of the ‘Transmission Control Unit’

connections and sensors must be protected

from accidental contact (hands, tools, etc.) to

avoid electrostatic discharges and mechanical

damages.

Arrows shows ‘Transmission Control Unit’

connections pin and gasket (white colour).

Must be protected from any accidental

contacts especially metal tools) that could

damage the gasket itself.

Absolutely do not handle the ‘Transmission

Control Unit’ using the two sensors pivots

marked by circle in the image below.

Always handle the ‘Transmission Control Unit’

(when possible) keeping it from lateral sides,

without touching the gasket, as shown on the

image below.

Seal the ‘Transmission Control Unit’ in correct

ESD compliant bag closed by thermal welding

and containing Silica Gel unit (for humidity

absorbability).

Place the ‘Transmission Control Unit’ in an

ESD proof package designed to protect
