14.5 OVERHAULING

A

PRECAUTIONS

1. Since all suspension fasteners are critical in

suspension attachments with regard to

performance and safety of vehicle, these must

be replaced with one of the same part number

in case of replacement.

2. Torque values must be maintained as

specified during reassembly for proper

retention of the parts. The replacement parts

should be of the same quality as of the

designed parts.

3. Damaged parts should be replaced only with

new parts. Welding, straightening or any other

form of repairing should not be attempted.

4. Lower arm bushes are to be aligned properly

while fitment.

5. Care should be taken while handling spring

loaded suspension components.

6. Front and rear bushes of lower wishbone are

different. So care has to be taken while

assembly the bushes.

NOTE

All suspension links, anti-roll bar, shock absorber

mountings to be full tightened in vehicle ECIE

condition.(2 persons in front seat, two persons in

rear middle seat)

FRONT STRUT DISMANTLING./ DAMPER

REPLACEMENT

1. Mount shock absorber firmly on a vice.

2. Using the special tool

(Part No. 8855 2702 00

40)

Fix both spring compressor tool hooks to

spring in opposite direction.
