26.Remove the main shaft assembly along with

shifter shafts and counter shaft assembly from

the rear half.

27.Separate out counter shaft assembly and shifter

shafts and forks from the main shaft assembly.

28.Remove the rear half from the mounting stand.

INSPECTION

Following points should be checked before starting

to assemble:



Check the housing for cracks.



Bearing bores for the mark of burrs.



Shifter shaft cap bores for burrs/ damage / scor-

ing marks.



Reverse idler shaft bore for burrs and any other

damages.



Filler plug and drain plug threaded portion for

damages.
