The disc brakes with higher thermal capacity are more

suited for modern vehicles, which can take care of

higher braking torques needed with higher speeds.

C45+45 is the latest in Caliper design from Girling,

which has a minimum corrosion of sliding members

and can offer uniform wear on both the pads.

The twin pots are inter-connected through a hole by

casting itself, so that pressurised fluid from the master

cylinder is acting on both the caliper pistons

simultaneously.

Colette Caliper Assembly consists of a Caliper carrier

bolted to the stub axle and the body assembly slides

on two sliding pins fixed in the bracket. The sliding

pins are sealed against corrosion by dust covers

thereby avoiding possible unequal sliding loads caused

by dirt, corrosion. Drag of the pads is taken directly

by the Carrier bracket, consequently the pins are only

loaded by the weight of the caliper body.
