7.4. TROUBLESHOOTINGAND DIAGNOSIS
Since the problems in steering, suspension, wheels and tyres involves several symptoms which are probably
interlinked so they must all be considered while diagnosing a complaint.
Before coming to any conclusion or to avoid using of wrong symptoms, always road test the vehicle first. Do
some preliminary visual inspection and correct any defects if found.
1. Check the tire pressures and inspect tire wear.
2. Raise the vehicle on hoist and inspect front and rear suspension for loose or damaged parts.
3. Inspect out of round tyres, bent wheel rims, out of balance wheel, loosen and/or rough wheel bearings.
