5. Remove the circlip (01), Second gear wheel(02),

Second gear synchro cone (03), Shifter sleeve

assembly (04) and First gear synchro cone (05).

6. Remove the circlip (01), First gear wheel (02) and

then the cylindrical roller bearing inner race (03).

3. The gaps for input shaft synchro cone should be

as follows:

Synchro cone

Permissible Gap

First Gear

1.15 ~1.40 mm

Second Gear

1.15 ~1.40 mm

4. If the gap is not within the permissible limits then

first try replacing the synchro cone and measure

again.

5. If the gap is still not within the limits replace the

gear wheel andmeasure with the old synchro cone.

6. If the gap is still not within the limits replace both

the cone and the wheel after ensuring that the gap

is within the limits.

B. INSPECTION

1. Clean all components thoroughly, inspect them for

any abnormality (like chipped gear teeth, etc.) and

replace with new ones as necessary.

2. Place the synchro cone on the corresponding gear

and check the gap using a feeler gauge.
