The installation area is permissible only
if the throttle shaft is sealed absolutely
reliable against oil, petrol, water etc.
2.
First support of the wiring harness
should be at least 150 mm from the
connector.
3.
Refer the points given in page no. 261.

. Maintain air gap 0.3 to 1.8 mm between
sensors face & pulse wheel.

Sensors should not be kept near strong
magnetic material

Speed sensor must be removed from
the packing just prior to installation in the
vehicle.

Fix with only partially self-sealing
cylindrical screw M6X12 DIN 912-8.
5.
Sensor Wire Radius should be <=50
mm.
6.
First support of wire after connection
max 250 mm.

Angle between sensor support and
Sensor exit should be less than 90°
2 Oxygen Sensor

1.
Use of torque wrench is highly
recommended.
2.
Installation angle must be inclined at
least 10º towards horizontal to prevent the
collection of liquids b/w sensor housing &
sensor elements during cold start phase.
3.
Do not use Sensor if dropped.
4.
Sensor Terminal Pins should be free
frommoisture/water/grease.
5.
Sensor and its couplers should be
covered before under body sealant or spray
is applied.
6.
Don’t use any kind of cleaning material
at sensor plug connection.
7.
After the sensor is installed, wires from
the sensor should not be bent or twisted
sharply. This will not allow the reference
air to get in from the rear side & causes
malfunctioning.
