REMOVAL
1. Remove the tail gate. For “Removal & refitment of
tail gate” refer Body group.
2. Remove the Rear shelf. For “Removal & refitment
of rear shelf” refer Body group.
3. Disconnect the electrical connection.
4. Loosen the locking nut & take out the switch.
INSPECTION:
Check the continuity between oil pressures switch
terminal (2) and cylinder block (3).
Use multimeter to check switch continuity.
During Engine running No continuity obtained
At engine stand still
Continuity obtained
If check result is not as specified, replace oil pressure
switch.
REFITMENT :
1. Tighten the locking nut.
2. Connect the electrical connection
3. Fit the rear shelf& tail gate.
OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
FUNCTION :
The Oil pressure switch monitors the engine oil
pressure when the engine starts. It also sends an
signal to the instrument cluster.
LOCATION:
It is located on cyl. Head.
