HAND BRAKE SWITCH

FUNCTION:

To send ON/OFF signal to instrument

panel to indicate Hand Brake / Parking Brake position

while operating hand brake lever.

LOCATION:

It is located at the bottom of central console below

the hand brake lever.

REFITMENT

1. Tighten the mounting screw.

2. Connect the electrical connection.

3. Fit the hand brake lever.

REMOVAL

1. Remove the hand Brake lever. For” Removal &

refitment of hand brake lever” refer brake group

2. Disconnect the electrical connection

3. Remove themounting screw. & take out the switch.

INSPECTION

Check switch for continuity .

OFF position

(parking brake released)

No continuity

ON position

(parking brake lever pulled up) Continuity

If check result is not specified, replace switch.
