TANDEM MASTER CYLINDER

(TMC)

REMOVAL

1. Drain the brake fluid from the brake circuit.

(For procedure refer brake fluid draining in this

section.)

2. Remove the spring band clamp at the CMC

end and hold the CMC to reservoir connecting

line in vertically upward position to avoid any

further loss of fluid and plug the openings with

suitable cap.

3. Disconnect the electrical connection of fluid

level warning indicator from the TMC.

4. Disconnect all the outlet lines from the master

cylinder.

5. Loosen and remove the mounting nuts and

remove the TMC assembly from the vehicle.

FITMENT

For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal.

NOTE

Make sure that lines are fitted correctly i.e.

primary outlet is connected to front brakes and

secondary outlet is connected to rear brakes.

Connect clutch hose

After refitment bleed the brake circuit.

Do not overhaul the TMC assembly as it is

not serviceable and needs to be replaced

as an assembly.
