25.Remove indicator and master differential bear-
ings.
26.Install side bearing on differential assembly us-
ing installer
(Part No.270458903325)
and place
bearing cup along with selected shim pack in be-
tween side bearing and carrier assembly.
27.Repeat this procedure for installation of shims /
bearing cone on opposite side of differential
case.
28.Install spreader
(Part No.287058903303)
and
dial indicator. Spread the carrier. Do not spread
it over 0.58 mm.
29.Remove dial indicator. Install differential case
assembly into carrier with the help of mallet. En-
sure differential case shim
(Spacer bearing
preload is behind the bearing cap)
!!WARNING
Carelessness while installing differential case as-
sembly may result in injury.
30.Install bearing caps. Ensure correct fitment of
caps by matching letters on caps and carrier on
either side. Use torque bearing cap screws to
specification.
