13.To remove side gears and pinion mate gears,
rotate the side gears. This will allow the pinion
mate gears to turn to opening of the case. Re-
move pinion mate gears and spherical washers
behind the gears. Lift out side gears and thrust
washers.
Inspect all parts including the machined surfaces
of the case itself. Where necessary, replace all
worn parts.
If excessive wear is noticed on all parts, it is recom-
mended that the complete differential assembly to be
replaced. If any gears are to be replaced, they must
be replaced as sets.
14.Remove end yoke using tool as shown.
Holder yoke.

15.If yoke shows wear in the area of seal contact, it
should be replaced.
16.Remove pinion by tapping with mallet.
17.Hold the pinion with stand to avoid falling.
!! WARNING
Gear teeth have sharp edges. Handle gears carefully
to avoid injury.
18.Collect shims and keep them together. Replace
shims if found damaged.
NOTE
Discard collapsible spacer. New one is required to
be used during assembly
