D. CYLINDER HEAD COVER
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery
cable.
2. Remove the engine cover (Refer to 09 -
Engine/COVER, Engine/Removal and Installation).
3. Recover the A/C system refrigerant (Refer to 24
- Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing/Standard
Procedure).
4. Remove the radiator (Refer to 07 -
Cooling/Engine/RADIATOR,
Engine
Cooling/Removal and Installation).
5. Remove the turbocharger (Refer to 09 -
Engine/Turbocharger
System/TURBOCHARGER/Removal
and
Installation).
6. Remove the right front wheel (Refer to 22 - Tires
and Wheels/Removal and Installation).
7. Remove the timing belt (Refer to 09 -
Engine/Valve Timing/BELT, Timing/Removal and
Installation).
8. Remove the fuel injectors (Refer to 14 - Fuel
System/Fuel
Inspection/INJECTOR(S),
Fuel/Removal and Installation).
9. Disconnect the fuel quantity solenoid wire
harness connector (1).
10. Unscrew the fuel tube fitting (1) at the fuel
injection pump.
11. Unscrew the fuel tube fitting at the fuel rail and
remove the fuel tube.
12. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor wire
harness connector (2).
13. Unscrews the fuel tube fitting (1) and remove
the fuel injection pump to fuel rail.
14. Disconnect the oil pressure regulator wire
harness connector (1).
