7. ON VEHICLE PROCEDURE
DO’s and DON’T’s
1. Take all precautions to avoid damage to
the surface of the thread, splines.
2.
Avoid
contact
between
the
inboard/outboard seal and tooling used to
insert
the
assembly
into
the
transmission/wheel end side.
3. Avoid contact between the ear of the
clamp and any object which may bend/crush
the clamp which will result into grease
leakage and/or intrusion of water/debris.
4. Do not over extend the inboard/outboard
joint.
5. Always lift the half shaft by holding it at
axle bar.
