KRYOTEC ENGINE

minutes.

Note: Do not shut down engine till the warning lamp

goes OFF.

If DPF regeneration process requested above is not

followed for a long distance and the vehicle is

driven with warning lamp ON, it can cause MIL to

be turned ON.

Once MIL is ON, the please contact TML Service.

Service should connect the TML diagnostic tool and

conduct DPF service regeneration as indicated in

the diagnostic tool.

Insufficient DPF regeneration resulting in the above

lamps can also happen if the vehicle is driven with

adulterated diesel.

!! WARNING

PARKING WARNING

Avoid parking of vehicle over inflammable

materials, such as dry leaves; grass etc. as exhaust

system is hot enough to initiate fire.

! CAUTION

Ensure exhaust system and assembly DOC+DPF

is not blocked and is free from obstruction.

Blockages in the exhaust can create back

pressure, low top speed, poor pick up, black

smoke, carbon build up and low mileage.

Check and ensure EGR Valve & control system

is clean and functioning properly.

Excessive carbon build-up / sticky valve.

• Damaged vacuum lines.

All these can keep the ‘EGR’ open when not

desired and vice versa. Either way these can

seriously affect power output of the engine and also

the emission levels.

! CAUTION

The assembly DOC+DPF should not be dropped

from a height. If dropped, it should not be used.

AdBlue (DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF))

The vehicle is equipped with an AdBlue Diesel

Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injection system and SCR to

meet emission standards. These two systems

ensure compliance with the diesel emissions

requirements; at the same time they ensure fuel-

efficiency, handling, torque and power. For

messages and system warnings, refer to the

“warning lights and messages”. AdBlue (Diesel

Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) is a very stable product with

a long shelf life. Stored at temperature lower than

90

°

F (32

°

C) has a shelf life of at least one year.

The vehicle is equipped with an automatic AdBlue

(Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) heating system when

the engine starts allowing the system to work

correctly at temperature lower than 12

°

F (-11

°

C).

AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) Storage

AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) is considered

a very stable product with a long shelf life. If AdBlue

is kept in temperatures between 10

°

and 90

°

F (-

12

°

and 32

°

C), it will last a minimum of one year.

AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) is subject to

freezing at the lowest temperature. For example,

AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) may freeze at

temperatures at or below 12

°

F (-11

°

C). The system

has been designed to operate in this environment.

NOTE

When working with AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid

(DEF)), it is important to know that

Any containers or parts that come into contact

with AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) must

be AdBlue compatible (plastic or stainless

steel). Copper, brass, aluminum, iron or non-

stainless steel should be avoided as they are

susceptible to corrosion by AdBlue (Diesel

Exhaust Fluid (DEF)).

If AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) is

spilled, it should be wiped up completely.

Adding AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF))

Consumption of the additive (Diesel Exhaust Fluid

(DEF)) depends on the condition of vehicle use and

is indicated by the LED and / or the message on the

instrument panel.

AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) freezes freeze

at temperatures at or below 12

°

F (-11

°

C). If the car

stands for a long time at this temperature refilling

could be difficult. For this reason, it is advised to

park the vehicle in a garage and / or heated

environment and wait for the Diesel Exhaust Fluid

(DEF) to return to liquid state before topping up.

Proceed as follows:

Park the car on flat ground and stop the engine by

placing the ignition in the OFF position.

Open the fuel door, undo and remove the cap (blue)

from the AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) filler.

CAUTION

Never fill AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)) or

diesel fuel into the wrong filling ports. This may

result in serious damage to Engine, fuel system and

emission system components. Incase of wrongly

filled do not start the engine, contact the authorized

dealer.
