30. REVERSE PARK ASSIST SYSTEM
Reverse Park Assist system is an electronic
parking aid that will assist you to park your vehicle
safely when in reverse gear mode. It provides
audio and visual information through the vehicles
infotainment system.
Option I
There are 4/3/2 ultrasonic sensors placed on the
rear bumper of the vehicle. Once the system is
activated, the sensors will detect the proximity of
an obstacle from the bumper, and this information
would be displayed on the vehicles infotainment
system.
"For low variant vehicles where Head unit
is not present, only audio warning shall be given
through a buzzer"
WARNING
0 to 25 cm obstacle detection performance is not
guaranteed due to ultrasonic sensor technology
limitation.
Option ll
The system displays the Park assist screen when
the reverse gear is engaged. The display is
stopped when the reverse gear is disengaged.
NOTE
Turning the ignition ‘OFF’ ‘while the Park assist
feature in running would disable the feature.
Ultrasonic Park Assist
Ultrasonic Park Assist feature will assist you to
park vehicle safely while reversing to avoid
objects which can hit or damage the rear bumper
by alerting with audible and visual information
from car infotainment system. Audible and visual
information is with respect to the proximity of the
object from the rear bumper.
Overview:
There are 4/3/2 ultrasonic sensors placed on the
rear bumper of the vehicle. Once Park Assist
system is activated, sensors will start detecting
the proximity of an obstacle approximately at 120
cm from the rear bumper and gives the proximity
information to Infotainment music system in the
form of audio and visual information.
NOTE
•
0-25cm obstacle detection performance is not
guaranteed due to ultrasonic sensor
technology limitation.

conditions.
Activation Procedure:
There are 3 ways to activate Park Assist
Reverse gear:
Park assist feature will automatically start
functioning once you engage the reverse gear.
Park assist Button (If equipped):
When you press the “Park Button” on the Fascia
switch, Park assist feature will start functioning.
Infotainment music system touch display:
In Infotainment system user interface, in the home
screen icon list, you can add Park Assist icon. By
using this icon you can enable park assist. Please
refer to infotainment module to add Park Assist
option on infotainment home screen.
