D. FUEL TANK

REMOVAL

1. Relieve fuel pressure in fuel feed line.

2. Disconnect negative cable at battery.

3. Remove Exhaust pipe with main silencer.

(For

removal refer ‘Exhaust Pipe’ removal process).

4. Remove the parking brake cable routed on the

tank’s parking brake clamp.

5. Disconnect the fuel filler hose and breather tube

Quick connector from filler pipe assembly.

6. Support the fuel tank from below.

7.

Remove the four mounting bolts from fuel tank

mounting straps and lower fuel tank gradually

until electrical connector of Fuel Delivery

Module and passive side suction unit can be

reached to disconnect.

8. Disconnect the electrical connections of the in-

tank pump and the fuel lines.

(For removal refer

‘Tank Unit’ removal process).

9. Disconnect electrical connections of the suction

unit.

10.Remove fuel tank from vehicle

NOTE

Make sure breather line quick connector is not

getting stuck up during its removal along with tank.

Seals and gasket not to be reused.

INSPECTION

Check all hoses and pipes connected to fuel

pump for leaks, loose connections,

deterioration or damage. Replace if necessary.

Check fuel pump and passive side suction unit

module gaskets for leaks, cracks etc. Replace

if necessary.

Visually inspect fuel tank for leaks and

damage. Replace if necessary.

FITMENT

For fitment follow removal procedure in reverse.
