Component Details:
A
Variable Turbine Geometry
turbocharger is also known as a
variable geometry turbocharger (VGT)
, or a
Variable Nozzle Turbine (VNT)
. A turbocharger equipped with Variable Turbine Geometry has little movable
vanes which can direct exhaust flow onto the turbine blades. The vane angles are adjusted via an actuator. The
angle of the vanes varies throughout the engine RPM range to optimize turbine behaviour.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If
yes,
2. go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.
3. Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to
earlier issue closure.
4. Check for damage of Hoses / pipes connected in the Inlet air circuit (Intercooler, Turbo charger)
5. Check for clogging of Air filter / Inlet air circuit.
