Component Details:

Clutch position sensor is a hall effect based sensor which provides two digital inputs to EMS ecu. First input is top travel

input – which implies clutch pedal is pressed 40% another input is Clutch bottom travel input – which implies clutch pedal

is pressed 90%.

Clutch 40% input will be used for Vehicle drivability refinements and Clutch 90% input will be used for Vehicle start, CGD

and GSI functions.

Preliminary Checks:

1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If

yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.

2. Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to

earlier issue closure.

3. Check for any other faults presence related to ECU Internal power supplies; Follow rectification process for those

faults, before proceeding further.

4. Check for Wiring Dis-continuity between Clutch position sensor & EMS ECU. If found, fix them

5. Check whether the Clutch top travel input to ECM is open circuited.

6. Check whether the Clutch position sensor is receiving power supply and ground.
