B1F3F-54:- Fresh Air/RECIRC Drive Motor – Missing calibration;

ISO Code

B1F3F- 54

Customer Symptom

No air selection control (manual or automatic)

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

The motor is blocked and its motion toward either end is

not possible

Lamp Status (If Any)

1.On

First power up if calibration fails then It has to update

the default values from NVM.

2.After first successful calibration, If Calibration fails

Subsequently then Controller should load last saved

calibration values from NVM.

3.Controller will retry Calibration process in Next ignition

cycle untill it gets successful.

Fault Detection Condition

Fresh/RECIRC Door Control Motor Calibration Fault

Normal Operating Condition

With the Fresh/RECIRC feedback line connected to the

harness and with Ignition ON, check the voltage between

blue connector pin no 7 & ground or 23 & ground. The

voltage range should be in between 0.4 to 4.47 V

Probable Trouble Area

Motor learning is not accomplished because of

1)

Shorting of Motor drive to battery or ground

2)

Motor is stuck while calibrating

3)

System over/under voltage during calibration

4)

Motor feedback fault short to battery or ground

Healing Condition

Check the mechanical mountings and fitment of camshaft

placed on the actuators

Component Details:

The recirculation/fresh air selector door actuator motor controls the position of the door which allows fresh air or

recirculation air, or a combination of the two, into the vehicle. The motor is mounted on the recirculation /fresh

air duct.

Preliminary Checks:

Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.

1)

Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code

2)

If the fault code exists, refer the corrective actions
