B1F3E-54:- Temperature Door Control Motor Calibration Fault;
ISO Code
B1F3E-54
Customer Symptom
No air temperature control (manual or automatic)
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
The motor is blocked and its motion toward either end is
not possible
Lamp Status (If Any)
1. On First power up if calibration fails then It has to update
the default values from NVM.
2. After first successful calibration, If Calibration fails
Subsequently then Controller should load last saved
calibration values from NVM.
3. Controller will retry Calibration process in Next ignition
cycle untill it gets successful.
Fault Detection Condition
Temperature Door Control Motor Calibration fault
Normal Operating Condition
Air Temperature Drive Motor is Functional
Probable Trouble Area
Motor learning is not accomplished because of
1)
Shorting of Motor drive to battery or ground
2)
Motor is stuck while calibrating
3)
System over/under voltage during calibration
4)
Motor feedback fault short to battery or ground
Healing Condition
Check the mechanical mountings and fitment of camshaft
placed on the actuators
Component Details:
The actuator controls the position of the temperature blend door based on the voltage signal from the FATC module.
Potentiometer, inside the actuator, sends a feedback signal to the controller and controller cuts off the voltage signal
coming from the controller when the required door position is achieved.
Preliminary Checks:
Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.
1)
Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code
2)
If the fault code exists, refer the Trouble Shooting
