Customer Symptom
No air selection control (manual or automatic)
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
If polarity of motor lines is affected by fault, motor will
move to either end stop
Lamp Status (If Any)
Motor To be Disabled
Fault Detection Condition
Fresh/RECIRC Door Control Motor Drive Line - Circuit short
to battery
Normal Operating Condition
With the Fresh/RECIRC motor drive line connected to the
harness and with Ignition ON, check the voltage between
blue connector pin no 7 & ground or 23 & ground. The
voltage range should be in between 0 to 14 V
Probable Trouble Area
Motor drive line is shorted to battery
Healing Condition
If there is a continuity between the Air Inlet door Motor
drive line and battery line correct the wiring harness (wiring
harness short to battery)
Component Details:
The recirculation/fresh air selector door actuator motor controls the position of the door which allows fresh air or
recirculation air, or a combination of the two, into the vehicle. The motor is mounted on the recirculation /fresh
air duct.
Preliminary Checks:
Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.
1)
Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code
2)
Read ECU parameter value
Target Position of Air-Inlet Door
Flap
and
AI Door flap Position (Internal Value)
for
actual and target position of Actuator
