B1F1B-15:-
Solar Radiation Sensor Circuit - Circuit short to battery or open
;
:
ISO Code
B1F1B- 15
Customer Symptom
System operates but with reduced sensitivity to conditions
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Solar load cannot be evaluated and solar compensation will
not be possible
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
Solar Radiation Sensor - Circuit short to battery or open
Normal Operating Condition
With the sensor connected to the harness and with Ignition
ON, check the voltage between pin no 1 & 2 of the sensor.
The voltage range should be in between 4.057 to 1.334 V
Probable Trouble Area
1) Sensor connector is not connected firmly
2) Sensor signal short to Battery
3) No continuity between FATC ECU to Sensor
Healing Condition
NA
Component Details:
Solar sensors sends the current to control unit according to the intensity of sunlight. Stronger the incident sunlight, higher
the current.
Preliminary Checks:
Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.
1) Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code
2) Read ECU parameter for solar
sensor Solar Load Status
. Drive the vehicle in sun & check the parameter is changing
or not.
3) Cover the solar sensor and check if the parameter value is changing.
