U0101 - 08:- Lost Communication With TCM

Overview:

U0101-08

Customer Symptom

ABS lamp will be ON.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

NA

Lamp Status (If Any)

ABS lamp will be ON.

Fault Detection Condition

1. TCM connector is not connected properly or disconnected

from its location.

2. CAN wire from TCM connector side are disconnected

3. TCM IGN & Battery fuse blown.

4. CAN_H, CAN_L or both lines of TCM are open circuit

Normal Operating Condition

TCM ECU communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool.

Probable Trouble Area

1. TCM connector / TCM fuse.

2. CAN lines of TCM ECU

Healing Condition

1. TCM ECU is connected and no wiring harness issues

from TCM side

2. CAN_H, CAN_L or/ and both lines of TCM are connected

properly

Preliminary Check:

1.

Check resistance in Diagnostic CAN pin no. 6 and 14. It should be 120 Ω.

2.

Check for short conditions between CAN_H (pin no. 26)-CAN_L (pin no. 14), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-GND (pin no. 13),

CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-Vbatt (pin no. 1) and CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13).

There should not be any short circuit conditions.

3.

Check continuity between IPC CAN_H (pin no. 8) vehicle side connector to OBD connector CAN_H (pin no. 6) and

CAN_L (pin no. 7) vehicle side connector to ODB connector (pin no.14)

4.

Read IVN DTCs in ABS in IGN ON condition

Note: After rectification please give Ignition latch to heal the DTC.
