U0123-08:- Lost communication with Yaw rate Sensor Module

Customer Symptom

Warning Light Displayed

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

EBD & ABS – Available, ESP – Depends on fault type,

Lamp Status (If Any)

ABS – OFF, EBD – OFF, ESP – Depends on fault type

Fault Detection Condition

1. YRS connector is not connected properly or disconnected

from its location.

2. CAN wire from YRS connector side are disconnected

3. YRS VCC line fuse blown/disconnected.

4. CAN_H, CAN_L or both lines of YRS are open circuit

Normal Operating Condition

YRS communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool.

Probable Trouble Area

1. YRS connector / YRS fuse.

2. CAN lines of YRS

Healing Condition

1. YRS is connected and no wiring harness issues from YRS

side

2. CAN_H, CAN_L or both lines of YRS are connected

properly

Preliminary Check:

1.

Check resistance in Diagnostic CAN pin no. 6 and 14. It should be 120 Ω.

2.

Check for short conditions between CAN_H (pin no. 26)-CAN_L (pin no. 14), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-GND (pin no. 13),

CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-Vbatt (pin no. 1) and CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13).

There should not be any short circuit conditions.

3.

Check continuity between IPC CAN_H (pin no. 8) vehicle side connector to OBD connector CAN_H (pin no. 6) and

CAN_L (pin no. 7) vehicle side connector to ODB connector (pin no.14)

4.

Read IVN DTCs in ABS/ESP in IGN ON condition

Note: After rectification please give Ignition latch to heal the DTC.
