Customer Symptom

All lamps of Instrument Cluster will be ON

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

ABS – Available(without Drag torque control), EBD –

Available, ESP – Not available

Lamp Status (If Any)

All lamps of Instrument Cluster will be ON

Fault Detection Condition

1. Short circuit between CAN_H -CAN_L, CAN_H -GND,

CAN_L-Vbatt, CANL-GND, CANH-Vbatt.

Normal Operating Condition

ECU communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool.

Probable Trouble Area

CAN_H and CAN_L wires

Healing Condition

Removal of the above mentioned short circuit faults in the

wiring harness or at ECU pin.

Preliminary Check:

1.

Check resistance in Diagnostic CAN pin no. 6 and 14. It should be 120 Ω.

2.

Check for short conditions between CAN_H (pin no. 26)-CAN_L (pin no. 14), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-GND (pin no. 13),

CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-Vbatt (pin no. 1) and CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13).

There should not be any short circuit conditions.

3.

Check continuity between IPC CAN_H (pin no. 8) vehicle side connector to OBD connector CAN_H (pin no. 6) and

CAN_L (pin no. 7) vehicle side connector to ODB connector (pin no.14).

4.

Read IVN DTCs in ABS/ESP in IGN ON condition

Note: After rectification please give Ignition latch to heal the DTC.
