U0028-13:- Vehicle Communication Bus A-open circuit

NA
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
ABS – Available(without Drag torque control), EBD –
Available, ESP – Not available
Lamp Status (If Any)
ABS – OFF, EBD – OFF, ESP – ON
Fault Detection Condition
This DTC will appear in case of following open circuit
failures:
1 CANH wire open (pin 26)
2. CANL wire open(pin 14)
3. Both CANH,CANL open
Normal Operating Condition
ECU communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool.
Probable Trouble Area
CAN_H and CAN_L wires
Healing Condition
Reconnection of the CAN_H (connector pin 26) and
CAN_L(connector pin14)with the main CAN bus
Preliminary Check:
1.
Check resistance in Diagnostic CAN pin no. 6 and 14. It should be 120 Ω.
2.
Check for short conditions between CAN_H (pin no. 26)-CAN_L (pin no. 14), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-GND (pin no. 13),
CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_H (pin no. 26)-Vbatt (pin no. 1) and CAN_L (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13).
There should not be any short circuit conditions.
3.
Check continuity between IPC CAN_H (pin no. 8) vehicle side connector to OBD connector CAN_H (pin no. 6) and
CAN_L (pin no. 7) vehicle side connector to ODB connector (pin no.14).
4. Read IVN DTCs in ABS/ESP in IGN ON condition
Note: After rectification please give Ignition latch to heal the DTC.
