Customer Symptom
Fail safe lamp operation
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Fail safe lamp operation.
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine
execution. User has to operate the switch manually during
routine. If short to ground circuit fault is detected for Master
Light Switch Fail Safe Signal then this DTC code will be
returned with the Routine results.
Normal Operating Condition
There should not be any fault returned by routine.
Probable Trouble Area
1. 1. BCM connector Fault.
2. 2. Harness issue.
3. 3. Switch fault.
4. 4. ECU fault.
Healing Condition
jj. 1. Give ignition cycle after fault removal
kk. 2. Clear DTC command- No DTC logged
Component Details:
When internal master light switch failure occurs then position lamp gets turned ON.
Preliminary Checks:
1.
Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)
2.
Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
