Start
Connect the Diagnostic Tool and Run Input Switch Test Routine & operate
the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification
Is DTC B2232 – 12
logged by Routine?
STOP
Check continuity between BCM connector
pin
[C4 - 8]
and BCM battery
[C3-2/C3-1]
.
Continuity found?
Correct BCM side wiring
harness.(Short to battery)
YES
1. Disconnect vehicle battery connection.
(Please follow the safety guidelines)
B2232 – 12 : Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch - Circuit Short to Battery
Check continuity between two terminals of
Mirror fold/unfold switch
Continuity
found?
BCM ECU faulty
1. Switch is faulty.
2. Replace Mirror fold/unfold switch

1. Remove BCM connector.
2. Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or
damaged etc
Check BCM & Mirror Fold/Unfold Switch
connectors for terminal backout
Any connectors are
loose?
Is connector faulty?
Correct connector fault

Reconnect connector firmly
